I believe that handmade quality products should be accessible to everyone, not just the wealthiest. I therefore devised a pricing scheme that embodies this idea and makes it real.
It’s extremely simple: you pay according to your means. Pay less if you are facing financial hardship; pay more if you earn a comfortable living, thereby giving access to quality knives to people who wouldn’t be able to afford them otherwise. There are 5 pricing tiers described below with a range of prices between -50% to +50% of the base price.
The model is based on trust and responsibility. I am not going to ask any proof so I expect you the customer to self-identify with your financial level and choose the appropriate price.

The pricing scheme applies to every product or service I offer, if not mentioned otherwise.
1. Solidarity Tier
For individuals in significant financial hardship.
- Monthly net income below €1,100 (single) or €1,650 (couple).
- Lives in social housing or rents a room.
- No car, or owns an old vehicle (>15 years) used out of necessity.
- Receives public assistance (e.g. unemployment, disability, or social welfare).
👉 This price ensures access even in situations of serious economic vulnerability.
You pay: 0.5 x Base price
2. Access Tier
For low income households.
- Monthly net income between €1,100–1,700 (single) or €1,650–2,550 (couple).
- Rents or lives in shared accommodation, no property ownership.
- Owns an older car (<10 years) or relies on public transport.
- Little to no savings or significant assets.
👉 This price suits those managing a tight but stable budget.
You pay: 0.75 x Base price
3. Standard Tier
For stable middle-income households.
- Monthly net income between €1,700–3,150 (single) or €2,550–4,725 (couple).
- Owns or rents a home, possibly a first-time property buyer.
- Owns one or two functional, recent vehicles.
- Has modest savings (e.g. basic savings account, small investments).
👉 This is the balanced contribution reflecting fair market value.
You pay: 1 x Base price
4. Support Tier
For comfortable, upper-middle-income households.
- Monthly net income above €3,150 (single) or €4,725 (couple).
- Owns a primary residence, possibly a second property.
- Owns multiple or premium vehicles.
- Holds significant savings, investments, or real estate.
👉 By choosing this, you help subsidise access for those in need.
You pay: 1.25 x Base price
5. Supporter Tier
For high-income individuals or those with substantial wealth.
- Monthly net income above €4,300 (single) or 6,450 (couple).
- Owns housing in high-cost areas (e.g. Paris, London, Zurich).
- Owns luxury vehicles, second homes, or high-value assets.
- Regularly makes donations or large financial commitments.
👉 This price supports sustainability and funds lower-tier access.
You pay: 1.5 x Base price
